Data Privacy

Privacy is foundational, not optional

Every insight we produce depends on the trust of the people who participate in our research. We take that responsibility seriously — in our methodology, our data handling, and our legal commitments.

Our Principles

How we handle data responsibly

🔒

Privacy Is a Core Principle

We process network and device data to create aggregated analysis while intentionally filtering out personal information. Raw data is transformed into anonymized insights used to improve the telecommunications industry, in compliance with GDPR and CCPA.

Vetted, Consented Sources

Data is sourced through vetted third-party applications that require explicit user consent. That information is used exclusively for the creation of aggregate reports, and is protected by multi-layered safeguards against theft, fraud, and misuse.

📡

Network, Not Personal, Data

We process location data tied to network performance events, network diagnostic information for non-terrestrial network analysis, device connection types, network operator details, and device metadata such as phone models and operating systems, not tied to individuals.

🚫

What We Never Collect

We never collect personally identifying details — names, phone numbers, addresses, age, or gender without explicit permission. We never collect application usage, access content data, or any directly identifying consumer information without explicit permission.

🎭

Depersonalized by Design

Our business model centers on depersonalized network analytics. Data is never used for individual tracking or user profiling, and the anonymized analytics we publish are aggregated at the industry level.

🛡

No Disclosure for Tracking

Location and network data are used exclusively for service measurement. We do not disclose data to third parties for tracking or profiling purposes, and our third-party contracts mandate equivalent security measures.

What information we process

ST3 Insights sources data through vetted third-party applications that require explicit, informed user consent before any data is collected. The categories of information we process include:

  • Approximate location data connected to network performance events
  • Network diagnostic information, including for non-terrestrial network analysis
  • Device connection types and network operator details
  • Device metadata, such as phone models and operating systems

We do not collect personally identifying details such as names, phone numbers, addresses, age, or gender. We do not collect application usage or content access data, nor any information that would directly identify a consumer.

How we use this information

The information we process is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Creating aggregated, anonymized reports on telecom market trends and performance
  • Producing industry-level analytics that inform our clients' strategic decisions
  • Improving the accuracy and coverage of our network and market measurement

Data is never used for individual tracking or user profiling. We do not disclose data to any third party for tracking or profiling purposes, and any third-party partner we work with is contractually required to maintain equivalent security and privacy standards.

Data security

We maintain multi-layered safeguards designed to protect the data we process against theft, fraud, and misuse, including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security audits of our infrastructure and third-party partners.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses first-party analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns and improve site performance. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You may disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to access our content.
